Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – The Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation proudly celebrates a historic achievement by Usama Butt, a rising star from Pakistan, who has earned the silver medal at the World Mas-Wrestling Championship, currently taking place in Mongolia.
Trained under the expert guidance of Muhammad Ibrahim Baig, Usama Butt showcased exceptional strength and skill throughout the tournament. He began his journey with a powerful victory against a host-country athlete from Mongolia, followed by a second-round win over Kazakhstan, securing his place in the grand final.

Though he narrowly missed the gold, Usama’s performance stood out on the global stage, earning Pakistan its first-ever silver medal in this prestigious championship.
“Alhumdulilah, Usama Butt’s victories over Mongolia and Kazakhstan reflect not only his talent but also the emergence of Pakistan in the global Mas-Wrestling arena,” said Nawab Furqan Khan, official representative and President of the Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation.

“I am fully satisfied with this performance. Usama Butt has proven that Pakistani athletes can stand toe-to-toe with the world’s best. This is just the beginning of greater achievements ahead,” he added.
The Federation extends heartfelt thanks to the Government and people of Mongolia for their warm hospitality and excellent organization of the championship.

This silver medal is a testament to the growing standard of traditional sports in Pakistan, and a proud moment for the entire nation.
